Parties, Banks, Currency & Branch

Maintain the basic lists used by cheque printing and vouchers.

The green + buttons in the main screens open small master windows where you can maintain the lists used during cheque entry.

Party / Address

The Address master stores the party details used by the To Whom selection on the Print Cheque and Payment Voucher screens.

  1. Open the Address window from the green + button beside To Whom.
  2. Enter Name. This means the Party Name in your records.
  3. Enter Pay To. This means how the party wants the cheque to be written. It may be different from the party/company name.
  4. Enter Address and Phone No if you want to keep those details in the party master.
  5. Choose Save.
  6. Use the Address list tab and Search Key to find an existing party.
  7. Use Delete only after confirming the party record is no longer required.

Bank

Each bank record contains the bank name and its associated currency.

  1. Open Bank from the green + button in Cheque Design.
  2. Enter or select the Bank Name.
  3. Choose the appropriate Currency for that bank.
  4. Choose Save for a new bank. Use Update when changing an existing bank, and Clear when you want to reset the entry fields.

Currency

A currency defines how amounts and fractions are displayed.

FieldMeaning
Currency SymbolShort code such as OMR or AED.
Currency NameThe currency name used by the application.
Decimal PlacesHow many decimal digits the currency normally uses.
Decimal SymbolThe name/symbol used for the fractional part.
  1. Open Currency when you need to create or revise a currency used in cheque printing.
  2. Enter Currency Symbol and Currency Name.
  3. Set the correct Decimal Places and Decimal Symbol.
  4. Choose Save for a new record or Update for an existing one.

Branch

Branches are used on Payment Vouchers. Keep branch codes short and consistent.

  1. Open Branch when you need to maintain the list of branches used in vouchers.
  2. Enter the BranchCode and BranchName.
  3. Choose Save to keep the branch.
  4. Use Delete only when you are sure the selected branch is no longer needed.
